The Carlines are a retro indie-pop-rock project based in Victoria, BC Canada. The newest 4 song EP ‘Until They Turn On The Lights,’ carries the nostalgia of yesteryear and makes you feel good in it’s entirety with light and sunny hooks.

The EP’s standout tracks ‘Saturday Sugar’ and ‘I Wanna Be With You,’ bounce with a steady and infectious rhythm underneath fluid guitars and synths. Both songs have a retro indie-pop-rock pallete. The EP was produced with longtime collaborator Mike Edel who co-wrote, co-produced, and mixed the EP.

The Carlines feature Sjoerd Meyer, (Guitar, Vocals, Production) and his effortless instrumentation and sonic quality which are apparent both live and on ‘Until They Turn On The Lights.’ Meyer has played hundreds of shows as a side-man; and it pays off front to back on the new EP.

The Carlines have been featured on The Zone @ 91.3 in Victoria and played alongside Said The Whale, Jordan Klassen and Mike Edel.
